KANYEEZY
Kanye West has been in the Hip-Hop game for a very long time. He dropped his first album The College Dropout in 2004 which debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard Top 200. He continued to do his thing and emerged as one of the greatest Hip-Hop artists to ever live. In 2010, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, his fifth album to be released, caught most people by surprise. He creates many beats old and new and combines his lyrical genious to develop a truely meaningful and creative album. Staying at the top, this album was number one on the U.S. Billboard Top 200. Here are my personal favorites through the years.
Kanye West- Blame Game ft. John Legend
CUDDER
Kid Cudi was my personal favorite artist of the 2010. So many people became intrigued by his unique style. I remember playing NBA Live 2009 where I first heard his hit single Day 'N Night. From here he has released a number of albums in The Man On The Moon series. I do not expect him to stop anytime soon and his tracks will continue to stay above the rest.
J. COLE
J. Cole is a young star and emerged quickly as one of the biggest names in Hip Hop. It took him awhile to get noticed as he released The Come Up in 2007 when not many people knew about him. The Warmup released last year was one of my favorite albums of 2010. This means this man is just getting started. He made an appearance to The University of Maine about two months ago. I love this guy's style and lyrics. He spits with great flow realeasing his soul. His dedication to Hip-Hop is truely shown through his music.

MAC MILLER
Brand new to the scene. At only 18 years old, Mac Miller has dominated Hip Hop surpasing other members such as Chris Webby and Sammy Adams. If you haven't heard of this guy, get to know him. Many people compare him with the great Eminem (also a big name in 2010 releasing the Recovery album) because he is white, but has a completely different style. He is straight out of Pittsburgh along with fellow Wiz Khalifa who should be mentioned in this post. Check out The First Post to VinylTap Music for more on him.
